At certain points in the last few weeks, the amount of fear, anger, isolation and other negativity we read, see, think and feel around us can be overwhelming and be highly draining from a physical, mental and emotional standpoint. Suffering from the energy draining impacts of the fight or flight drive over the long term, we may become increasingly tired and emotionally down. Either we have to take actions to change our thoughts and feelings, or we have to suffer the mentally and physically destructive consequences of living in long-term anger and fear.
Moving out of anger and fear into more anabolic emotions such as acceptance, peace and joy is easier said than done, especially during these unprecedented times of the unknown and uncertainty. It really becomes a question of acceptance of the current situation, taking personal responsibility for what you can do to help and protect yourself and others in this situation, showing love and care to yourself and others during this situation, seeing what actions can we taken that are win-win or win for all to improve the situation, and looking for the lessons in this crisis that will help us make the world a better place than it was before.
So many times, what keeps us blocked in the lower level energy draining emotions of fear anger are a lack of accurate and useful information about what is happening, inaccurate assumptions about what will happen next or how our own personal situation will end up, misinterpretations about what the words and actions of others mean, and limiting beliefs that we cannot handle the current situation. Most often just looking at and clearing analyzing and expression what is going on inside our own head is the best way to clear the mind and raise our energy and emotions to more productive levels.
